The California Secretary of State's office has announced that expedite and preclearance services will once again be offered for business entity filings submitted over the counter beginning Monday, October 30, 2023.
The services to be offered and the associated state fees are as follows:
Preclearance Service
- 24-Hour Service ($500)
Expedite Service
- There are three options:
- 4-Hour Service ($500)
- Must include proof of preclearance approval, such as a copy of the Notice of Preclearance Approval letter and/or a copy of the precleared filing that has the “Preclearance Approved” stamp on it.
- Same-Day Service ($750)
- Must be received by 9:30 a.m. and will be completed by 4:00 p.m.
- Proof of preclearance approval is not required, but greatly encouraged if the filing was precleared prior to submission for filing.
- 24-Hour Service ($350)
- Proof of preclearance approval is not required, but greatly encouraged if the filing was precleared prior to submission for filing.
- 4-Hour Service ($500)
Additional Information:
- The 72-hour rule for rejected filings has been abolished.
- Pull requests for upgrades to filing service will not be allowed.
