Several states achieved important business legislation milestones during the month of April. Please see below for summaries of the new laws for entities in Arizona, Iowa and Tennessee.

ARIZONA

Senate Bill 1353 (Chapter 168)
Entities Affected: Limited Liability Companies
Senate Bill 1353 signed by the governor April 10, 2018 and effective September 1, 2018 enacts the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act. View the bill text.

IOWA

House Bill 2300
Entities Affected: Professional Corporations and Limited Liability Companies
House Bill 2300 signed by the governor and effective April 2, 2018 includes mental health counseling among the professions which may be practiced as professional corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLCs). View the bill text.

TENNESSEE

House Bill 25524
Entities Affected: Limited Liability Companies
House Bill 25524 signed by the governor and effective April 18, 2018 authorizes the Secretary of State to accept electronic transmission of Limited Liability Company (LLC) documents. View the bill text.
